This is not the ideal instruction book for everyone looking to learn how to play the acoustic guitar, simply because Al Petteway’s influences are interesting and unique. However, if you have an interest in Celtic music, folk music, blues music, or music with an R&B influence, Al Petteway provides excellent instruction using music from his most recent CD.
All of his music has been transcribed note by note, and you can follow along on the helpful CD/DVD to watch him play the music as you read along in the book. If you have an interest in this specific music style, then you will enjoy what this book has to offer.
